Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) graduates will participate in a Latino Student Recognition Ceremony sponsored by a partnership of numerous community organizations on Sunday, June 14. The annual ceremony celebrates students’ personal success and academic achievements in the spirit and tradition of Latino culture.
Ceremony organizers and sponsors include APPLE-IDEPSCA, Latino Heritage, Pasadena Latino Forum, Teens in Action, Councilmember Victor Gordo, MEChA, the Pasadena Armory Center for the Arts, Pasadena City College, and PUSD.
Telemundo Los Angeles news reporter Maria Garcia will serve as mistress of ceremonies. Dance troupe Yankuititl Danza will perform.
The ceremony is open to all students and allows them to publicly thank those who have helped them throughout their educational experience.
