    PUSD to Host Job Fair

    Math, Science and Special Education Teachers Sought; Non-Teaching Positions Open

    The Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), in partnership with the City of Pasadena, will host a job fair on Saturday, March 7 at Pasadena’s City Hall. The District is seeking Math, Science and Speech and Language teachers to be part of the team that is raising achievement at Pasadena-area public schools. PUSD is also recruiting for non-teaching positions such as office and maintenance workers.

    Superintendent Launches Aggressive Recruiting Effort for Top Jobs

    Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) Superintendent Edwin Diaz announced an aggressive recruiting campaign to fill newly-restructured executive leadership team positions by May. The Superintendent has hired five key senior managers since the beginning of this year, and filling the remaining nine positions is critical to the District’s ability to execute priority instructional initiatives, achieve cost savings and build external relationships.

    Administrative & Personnel Services

    The employees of the Pasadena Unified School District constitute the most important resource for providing a quality educational program for the students of the community. Recognizing this, it is the goal of the Division of Administrative and Personnel Services to provide for the following:
    1. The recruitment and selection of the very best available candidates for all open positions in the district.
    2. To allocate the human resources of the district in a manner in which it makes the greatest contribution to the instructional program.
    3. To provide for a climate in which optimum staff performance and satisfaction are produced.
    4. To provide for programs of staff development that are designed to contribute to the improvement of the learning program and to each staff member's career development.
    5. To provide for a genuine team approach to education including staff involvement in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
    6. To promote employee/employer relations.
